It's difficult to know why as most men don't want to talk about it and want the extramarital affairs to be kept secret. But recently, one man, Peadar de Burca, has been investigating and he has just interviewed almost 300 candidates on the subject.

A playwright, director and comedian, de Burca has spent the best part of six months travelling England and Ireland, interviewing men who have cheated and the women that they have cheated on. The results of this quest/survey for more information on cheating, have been turned into a two-man comedy show and an article in the independent.

Peadar de Burca has spoken to over 250 adulterous husbands, not to mention several dozen of their wives, trying to unearth motivations and explanations for cheating.  He visited brothels, swingers' groups and escorts.

It wasn't long before a pattern emerged. Just like Ashley Cole, Tiger Woods and Bill Clinton, these men were very insecure, needy men who needed to be adored and were looking for fame, admiration and glory to prove their worth. And men who are faithful take pride in their family values and it's enough for them to feel pride and achievement.

Ashley Cole booed at Sol Campbell's wedding

While Cheryl Cole is recovering from Malaria, and trying to put some weight back on to look sexy again, her soon to be ex-husband, Ashley Cole attended Sol Campbell's wedding at the weekend. It was meant to be a good party but did not go so well for cheating husband Ashley. The football star had just returned from a holiday in Los Angeles when he attended the wedding and was booed when he arrived at the wedding of his ex-Arsenal teammate Sol Campbell. Some guests at the church in Northumberland booed Ashley as he entered the church but he is well trained to ignore this on the pitch and he ignored them and walked straight to his seat.

The Chelsea defender, 29, did not seem too bothered by the hostile reaction as he arrived at St Andrew’s Church in Corbridge, Northumberland. It did not spoil the rest of the wedding day.

The welcome for the bride and groom was much better! Sol Campbell, 35, was marrying interior designer Fiona Barratt and they were cheered by the guests who obviously only wanted to annoy Ashley Cole. Amongst the wedding guests was another cheating husband - chef Ainsley Harriot and England captain Rio Ferdinand.

Tiger Wood in Porn Star DNA Test

When the world found out about Tiger Wood's cheating addiction, some guessed that paternity suits would follow and it's happening right now. Adult film star Devon James had claimed Tiger, 33, is the father of her nine-year-old son. Tiger Woods is claiming that he is not the father and has taken legal action to have a paternity suit against him by a porn star dismissed. Lawyers for the golf star have are trying to stop the legal process and avoid the DNA test. Devon James, 29, is demanding Tiger Wood provide a DNA sample that would prove he fathered her son Austin T.

Tiger Woods is already facing a £100million divorce over his cheating addiction and now needs to prove he's not the father of the porn star's little boy. 

Mel Gibson admits to punching his ex-girlfriend

Mel Gibson has allegedly admitted to punching his ex-girlfriend as she held their baby daughter and he's now under investigation by Los Angeles Sheriff's Department for domestic violence. We'll have to wait for the end of the investigation to find out more about Mel Gibson's behaviour on that day and if he really did hit his lover.

The 54-year-old Hollywood actor is believed to have lost his temper with his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, the mother of his daughter. The alleged attack on Grigorieva took place on January 6. The case is being handled by the same sheriff's station that arrested Mel Gibson in 2006 on suspicion of drink driving. The actor later publicly apologized to the arresting officers in that case for using anti-Semitic and sexist remarks against them during his arrest. Cheating, domestic violence, drink driving and abuse? Mel should really watch his temper in the future and find a nice woman to settle down with.
