Whoopi Goldberg has admitted to cheating while she was married. The unexpected announcement comes as media coverage is high on Sandra Bullock’s decision to divorce. It seems that once again, Hollywood is proving to be a hot spot for cheating on your husband or your wife.
Whoopi Goldberg made the revelation as she was trying to come to the defence of Sandra Bullock's husband Jesse James while he is fighting allegations of infidelity. He is reported to have cheated on Sandra Bullock with a tattoo model, Michelle McGee, during 11 months last year. Two other women have also since come forward with similar revelations about Jesse James.
Whoopi said that she can understand why Jesse James would cheat and puts the blame on Sandra Bullock, blaming her for the instability of the couple. Sandra had three marriages before Jesse James but before the allegations were revealed, she was telling the press how happy she was with her current family life. Goldberg wants us to stop judging James until we know the full story and can judge on facts rather than rumours. She also admitted that she used to cheat when she was married. She enjoyed trying something different. Whoopi Goldberg split from her first husband Alvin Martin in 1979 after five years together and later went on to marry David Claessen. The second marriage lasted two years and she later married again to Lyle Trachtenberg in 1994. They divorced just a year later.
Bullock has now separated from James since March after the 11-month affair with the tattoo model was revealed. And she is also expected to divorce.
