It's difficult to know why as most men don't want to talk about it and want the extramarital affairs to be kept secret. But recently, one man, Peadar de Burca, has been investigating and he has just interviewed almost 300 candidates on the subject.

A playwright, director and comedian, de Burca has spent the best part of six months travelling England and Ireland, interviewing men who have cheated and the women that they have cheated on. The results of this quest/survey for more information on cheating, have been turned into a two-man comedy show and an article in the independent.

Peadar de Burca has spoken to over 250 adulterous husbands, not to mention several dozen of their wives, trying to unearth motivations and explanations for cheating.  He visited brothels, swingers' groups and escorts.

It wasn't long before a pattern emerged. Just like Ashley Cole, Tiger Woods and Bill Clinton, these men were very insecure, needy men who needed to be adored and were looking for fame, admiration and glory to prove their worth. And men who are faithful take pride in their family values and it's enough for them to feel pride and achievement.

Ashley Cole booed at Sol Campbell's wedding

While Cheryl Cole is recovering from Malaria, and trying to put some weight back on to look sexy again, her soon to be ex-husband, Ashley Cole attended Sol Campbell's wedding at the weekend. It was meant to be a good party but did not go so well for cheating husband Ashley. The Chelsea defender, 29, did not seem too bothered by the hostile reaction as he arrived at St Andrew’s Church in Corbridge, Northumberland. It did not spoil the rest of the wedding day.

The welcome for the bride and groom was much better! Sol Campbell, 35, was marrying interior designer Fiona Barratt and they were cheered by the guests who obviously only wanted to annoy Ashley Cole. Amongst the wedding guests was another cheating husband - chef Ainsley Harriot and England captain Rio Ferdinand.

Mel Gibson admits to punching his ex-girlfriend

Mel Gibson has allegedly admitted to punching his ex-girlfriend as she held their baby daughter and he's now under investigation by Los Angeles Sheriff's Department for domestic violence. We'll have to wait for the end of the investigation to find out more about Mel Gibson's behaviour on that day and if he really did hit his lover.

The 54-year-old Hollywood actor is believed to have lost his temper with his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, the mother of his daughter. The alleged attack on Grigorieva took place on January 6. The case is being handled by the same sheriff's station that arrested Mel Gibson in 2006 on suspicion of drink driving. The actor later publicly apologized to the arresting officers in that case for using anti-Semitic and sexist remarks against them during his arrest. Cheating, domestic violence, drink driving and abuse? Mel should really watch his temper in the future and find a nice woman to settle down with. 

New Girl for Ashley Cole

This is a tricky one as sometimes, your friends might be jealous or there might be a bad feeling which is not a sign that your relationship is doomed. The opposite is also true. You can be with someone that all your friends adore....and he is cheating on you or she is seeing someone else behind your back....

When you are under the influence of the magic love potion, in other words, you're in love and all is well in a perfect world, you forget to see the reality of the relationship so it's time to listen to friends and family and see their point of view. They generally mean well.

He/she puts you down in front of people
A joke at the right moment might be ok. A bit of banter is ok. Making you feel useless is not ok. If this happens a few times in front of friends and family, then it's definitely time to end the relationship. Perhaps you should do that in front of his friends and see how he likes it. Good advice. We like this one and yes, it's important to take note when this happens and how it makes you feel.

His mates/her friends have warned you off him
Listen to them. They mean well and try to protect you and protect their friends. It's a sign that things are already complicated so it is not likely to go smoothly in future. A rocky relationship for sure so be ready for the consequences.

He/She reminds you of one of your ex partners

This is a tell-tale warning signs so think carefully about behaviour patterns you recognise from the past. It could be bad news if the ex was a sour story. It could also be that you are looking for something that it's not in this relationship.

He/she refuses to meet your parents or introduce you to family

If he's avoiding meeting your parents, it probably means one of two things: He doesn't want to commit to you or he's trying to hide something. Basically, if this is repeated a few times when your parents are over or when he's parents are around, this is a sign of lies and it's best to end the relationship.

You’ve caught him snooping on your emails
If there's no trust in the relationship, you can keep seeing that partner and building a future. His he cheating on you and getting paranoid?

He won't tell you who his texts are from

I can't stand it when men do this. They wait till you leave the room to look at text when you've heard it bip. It's a sign of lies. 

He won't add you as a friend on Facebook
He must be hiding something. If there's no trust in the relationship.....he needs to accept what you will see on his page and who he's friends with....

He buys you flowers every day
Does this ever happen for real? When he starts buying you flowers every week, you know he's up to no good.  He's looking to take your suspicion away....

Basically, if you see one or more of these signs in your new relationship....it's a sign of lies and cheating.

A married mother appeared in court yesterday for cheating on her husband...in a public park. She was charged with adultery after having sex with her lover in a public park. It seems that her husband is staying by her side as they arrived in court yesterday hand-in-hand. Cheryl Cole's confirms she is divorcing Ashley

A spokesperson for Cheryl Cole came forward confirming that she will be launching a divorce against Ashley Cole. The most famous cheat in British Football has got what he was expected. Wives more likely than husbands to monitor e-mails and phones

A new study shows that wives are more likely than husbands to check their spouse's emails and text messages when they suspect them of cheating.

Men have a bar reputation for cheating on their wives and women have become experts in spying and finding out information on their husbands activities.

The new survey highlighted that wives are far more likely than their husbands to read their spouse's emails and texts when they suspect the other of cheating. According to the Sunday Times, a study of 920 middle aged couples found that 14 per cent of wives checked their husbands' emails, 13 per cent check the others' text messages and 10 per cent checked their spouses' browsing history on the computer.

As for the men, only eight per cent read their wives' emails, six per cent their text messages and seven per cent their browser history.

However, we know from many other researchs that women are less technologically skilled than men. This is intersting because it shows that when they need to find out how to access the browser's recorded data or check previous calls or text on a mobile phone, women know how to find the information they need. They are able to learn new skills and adapt to this situation and focus on new technology because they regard their couple as something really important and worth protecting. they are able to overcome the barriers of new technology when they feel that their relationship is at stake. 

Maybe it is time for men to learn how to delete browsing history and calls to sexy girls before they get caught. 

The researchers wanted to analyse how the internet is affecting long-term relationships and whether couples used it to spy on each other. The internet not only helps to spy on your partner but mostly, it's a great tool to meet more women and find new partners or dates.

Cheating can cost you your life

A millionaire banker strangled his wife after he spied on her and found out that she had been having affairs with two men. Neil Ellerbeck, 46, became enraged when his wife Kate, 45, asked for a divorce. She wanted to start a new relationship with a tennis coach she had met at her son's tennis club. But cheating on her husband cost her her life. He was so enraged that he killed her and then pretented that nothing had happened. 

 

The husband realised that she was cheating on him when he started taping her calls and heard intimate converstations with the tennis coach. But once the truth is fully displayed in court, it was revealed that the killer himself had had an affair for years while he was married.

Mrs Ellerbeck was killed on November 14 last year, at the family home in Enfield, North London. Her only fault was that she wanted to start a new life without her husband but cheating cost her her life.

MODEL agency boss admits to cheating

A MODEL agency boss has admitted cheating on his partner by sleeping with a teenage girl during a trial. He confirms that she was fully consenting and that it was not rape. Paul Reilly told the jury yesterday that he was "shocked beyond belief" when he was charged by police. The 37-year-old owner of his own model agency is used to working with beautiful girls. London 2012 Olympics: vice girls hope to strike gold
